Before establishing Zmall, the founders launched "Ethiopia Taxi" (ETTA) in 2016, which was one of the first ride-hailing services in the country. Operational hurdles prompted the team to shift their focus from ride-hailing to software and delivery solutions, giving birth to Zmall.
